[Please note this report is only available in Spanish] In May 2026, an IMF technical assistance mission reviewed selected aspects of Chile's government finance statistics at the request of the Budget Office of the Ministry of Finance. The mission provided recommendations to align selected revenue, expenditure, and financing operations with the Government Finance Statistics Manual 2014, strengthen consistency between fiscal flows and debt stocks, and enhance the analytical usefulness and transparency of Chile's fiscal statistics for decision making.
